
Thanks to AE and our generous customers, the AE Foundation™ is proud to share that we recently awarded $318,000 in AE Foundation™ Community Grants to 37 organizations across the country that are working to support the mental health & well-being of young people to empower authenticity and a better future for all.

Abilis, Inc. provides programs and services for children and adults of all abilities, from birth throughout their lives. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will provide scholarships for teens in Abilis residences who cannot afford activities, enabling them to participate alongside their peers.

Alameda Boys & Girls Club inspires and enables all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Support from the AE Foundation™ will help fund an initiative focusing on improving the mental health and resilience of teens (ages 13-18) through trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning (SEL), and accessible mental health services.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago is a youth mentoring program that supports at-risk youth through one-to-one mentorships. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support staffing, volunteer training, program planning, match support, and outreach, helping it expand to serve 1,600 youth annually.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania aims to provide direct mental health services to 20 teens with support from the AE Foundation™, with broader outreach through community workshops and family support initiatives. The program specifically targets teens aged 13-19, including those from underserved backgrounds and neurodiverse youth.

Catalyst for Change’s Youth Mental Health Crisis Intervention Program is designed to address the critical mental health needs of rural Montana youth, including working with local schools to connect youth with telehealth providers. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support telehealth provider fees, copays, and necessary technology, ensuring underserved youth receive timely mental health care.

Child Mind Institute’s will integrate, with support from the AE Foundation™, the “Mirror” app, a clinically informed digital journaling tool, into the Youth Mental Health Academy (YMHA) to address the mental health needs of high school juniors and seniors, particularly those from marginalized communities.

Eluna’s Eluna Resource Center (ERC) addresses youth mental health challenges related to grief and addiction, with a focus on providing accessible, no-cost resources for young people and their families. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support staff, resource development, and the continuation of these impactful conversations

Friends Forever International aims to develop and implement a Positive Mental Health curriculum for youth ages 14-18 with support from the AE Foundation™, focusing on underserved communities across the U.S. In 2025, ten youth will be selected for the initial cohort and participate in a two-week residential program at the organization’s campus in New Hampshire.

GiveThx utilizes a gratitude-based social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum to improve the mental health and well-being of middle and high school students, engaging both students and teachers in practices like exchanging thank-you notes and daily gratitude reflections. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support educator training, program support, and necessary materials.

InReach’s #TransMascFutures Campaign aims to support trans masculine youth by providing positive visibility and on-demand access to verified mental health and other critical resources. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will enhance the campaign’s website, improve accessibility with language translations, and amplify storytelling to showcase trans joy.

KnowResolve’s Detour Project offers a creative and supportive outlet for teens in Macomb County (ages 12-17) who are struggling with emotional distress, including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and grief. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used for facilitator stipends, art supplies, snacks, and program evaluation.

One-n-ten’s Youth Center for LGBTQ+ Youth and Young Adults aims to provide critical support to LGBTQ+ youth and young adults (ages 11-24) in the Phoenix metro area. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be allocated to program supplies, staff salaries, and benefits to support activities.

RADical Hope Foundation’s RADical Health program is a four-week, peer-led initiative designed to equip young adults with crucial resilience-building skills before they face a mental health crisis. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support outreach, Peer Guide training, and program implementation, enabling RADical Health to reach 150-250 new students.

Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation’s “You Matter Ray-Pec” initiative promotes mental health awareness and resilience within the Raymore-Peculiar community, particularly among high school students (ages 14-18). Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help cover costs for the annual You Matter Concert’s outdoor stage, as well as promotional materials, mental health resources, and event logistics.

STARS Nashville provides school-based mental health counseling services aimed at addressing the social and emotional needs of students, particularly those facing trauma, violence, substance abuse, and mental health challenges. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support these essential services, ensuring they remain free and accessible.

The New York Foundling provides accessible, culturally sensitive mental health care to youth, particularly those from marginalized communities. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support personnel costs for therapists, psychiatrists, and case management staff, as well as training in culturally adapted therapeutic methods.

Tuscaloosa SAFE Center will use funding from the AE Foundation™ to help fund a Middle and High School Outreach and Education Program to address child sexual abuse and support young people’s mental health. This initiative aims to educate students, teachers, and administrators about recognizing and preventing sexual abuse, in compliance with Erin’s Law.

VOX Teen Communications empowers teens in the Atlanta area by providing platforms for self-expression, leadership development, and mental health advocacy through journalism and multimedia. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support program staff, provide stipends for teen interns, and cover operational costs.

Active Minds mobilizes youth and young adults to transform mental health norms across society. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help strengthen its National Chapter Network, which engages 8,000 youth and young adults annually in mental health advocacy and peer support.

Allegheny Health Network’s Chill Project provides critical behavioral health services to high school students in the under-resourced Clairton City School District. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support therapy-based interventions such as art therapy, group counseling, and therapy dog sessions, alongside essential school-based services.

Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal’s Teen Club program provides a safe, supportive environment for youth ages 11-18 in McLean County. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will ensure accessibility for underserved youth and support ongoing efforts to enhance program quality and reach.

Camp Kesem at MIT supports children through and beyond a parent’s cancer. Support from the AE Foundation™ will help fund the Teen Leadership Program, which directly impacts 30-50 Leaders in Training annually, with indirect benefits reaching 100-150 younger campers.

Center for Hearing & Deaf Services (HDS)’s Deaf Youth and Friends Program focuses on supporting teens who are deaf or hard of hearing as they navigate the challenges of growing up in a predominantly hearing world. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will enable the program to bring in speakers and organize 12 socialization outings annually for 25 teens and children.

Communities In Schools of Central Washington provides critical mental health and social-emotional support to middle school students in underserved communities. Funding by the AE Foundation™ will help support staff time, materials for small groups, and incentives, directly benefiting 250 students and reaching up to 5,000 through whole-school programming.

Fort Smith Children’s Emergency Shelter’s GetREAL program provides housing and support for young adults aged 18-21 who have aged out of foster care or become homeless, focusing on those impacted by trauma, mental health challenges, and instability. With support from the AE Foundation™, the program will hire a certified recreational therapist to conduct 50 weekly group therapy sessions.

Gamers Outreach’s Project GO Kart program supports the mental and socioemotional well-being of hospitalized teens by offering therapeutic play through custom-built mobile video game kiosks. Support from the AE Foundation™ will help fund three new teen-focused GO Karts, prioritizing hospitals in need.

Harlem Educational Activities Fund’s HEAF Community Wellness Program provides critical mental health and social-emotional support to middle and high school students from underserved New York City communities. Approximately 100 students and 30 families will benefit from AE Foundation™ funding, which will cover program implementation costs.

KidsVoice aims to improve access to mental health services for youth in foster care and former foster youth in Allegheny County. With support from the AE Foundation™ will hire a half-time Mental Health Expert (MHE). The project will initially serve 25 youth with plans for expansion.

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services’s Outpatient Behavioral Health program provides in-school therapy, crisis management, and prevention services to low-income, primarily minority youth in Cincinnati. Support from the AE Foundation™ will help cover staff salaries and benefits for services not fully reimbursed by Medicaid or school contracts.

Project 150 provides essential support to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in Southern Nevada. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to purchase hygiene items such as shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste.

Raphael House of San Francisco, Inc.’s Children’s Services program supports youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support staffing, tutoring services, extracurricular activities, and essential supplies.

RESET INC serves youth and young adults, ages 13-24, in the Hampton Roads area, focusing on at-risk populations, including those facing homelessness, disability, and social barriers. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support a range of needs, including youth clothing, upgraded computer resources, transportation, field trips, stipends, and food.

The Bridge Teen Center provides free, holistic afterschool programming for teens in grades 7-12, addressing mental health, social challenges, and personal growth. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help cover program supplies, staffing, and operational costs to maintain free access for participants.

Tomorrow’s Leaders NYC provides critical support to high school students, particularly those who were previously at risk of dropping out due to academic and emotional challenges. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to train high school students to become peer mentors and co-facilitators of a summer internship program.

Unity Charity will use funding from the AE Foundation™ to help support a free, arts-based mental health program that uses hip hop to support underserved youth aged 13-29, particularly those from BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and low-income communities across Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Manitoba.

Winter4Kids provides underserved youth with opportunities to engage in winter sports, fostering positive mental wellness, resilience, and life skills. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support scholarships for teens from low-income communities in New Jersey and New York, covering program costs.

Young Black Motivated Kings and Queens focuses on providing mental health support to Black and BIPOC youth in Pittsburgh. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to enhance the mental health suite in a newly established community center, establish therapeutic partnerships, acquire necessary supplies, and provide workshops for youth and their families.
