
Thanks to AE and our generous customers, the AE Foundation is proud to share that we recently awarded $233,116 in AE Foundation Community Grants to 27 organizations across the U.S. and Canada that are working to support the mental health & well-being of young people to empower authenticity and a better future for all.
BGC Foundation of South Coast BC provides a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be directed toward staffing, who work one-one with youth aged 13 to 18 years who are at risk of dropping out of high school.
First Book works to bring educational resources to teens and young adults by removing barriers to equitable education. Funds from the AE Foundation™ will be used to help underwrite First Book’s marketplace for educators to get books for free and/or at extremely low cost.
Groove With Me, Inc. is a free dance school for youth in East Harlem designed to engage teens during after-school hours. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support the Teen Dance Program, which builds achievement skills to prevent risk-taking behaviors like teen pregnancy, substance abuse, depression, and truancy.
Interdenominational Health Ministry Coalition is committed to addressing health inequities in marginalized communities, particularly for Brown, Black, and LGBTQ+ youth. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support its Community Counseling Circle, which offers free counseling sessions with counselors of color to underserved individuals.
Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower trains, coaches, and practices with people the skills to take charge of, safeguard, and act more effectively in the interest of their mental health and emotional well-being. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support the program “From Trauma to Thriving,” which will help youth and young adults in and around San Francisco.
L.O.V.E. Connection Foundation empowers underserved youth through mentorship, education, and leadership development programs. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support its Youth Development Program, providing workshops on mental health, financial literacy, and personal growth.
New Sun Rising’s Camp Lucy is an annual mental health conference that empowers students and educators to engage in open conversations about mental well-being. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will cover transportation costs for students and educators, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent any school from attending.
Ontario Nature empowers young people through initiatives like the Youth Summit for Mother Earth, uniting diverse youth to foster environmental leadership and reconciliation. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support resources, workshops, and enabling a safe space for youth to build confidence, address eco-anxiety, and create a more equitable, sustainable future.
Sexual Assault Center provides free, trauma-informed therapy to young survivors of sexual violence across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to offset therapy costs for survivors.
UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s The Pittsburgh Study is a collaborative initiative promoting child thriving and racial equity by uniting diverse partners for collective impact. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support its Youth Thriving Summit.
WIN-Spirations, Inc.’s Workforce Development Program provides employment readiness and barrier-reducing support to individuals facing economic hardship. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support young adults from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, specifically those from families eligible for or participating in Medicaid.
You Matter 2 empowers youth in South Suburban Chicago through leadership development, academic enrichment, and mental well-being support. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support its Thrive Initiative, expanding access to art therapy, mentorship, and structured enrichment activities.
Northern Nishnawbe Education Council’s Wake the Giant program fosters inclusive communities and builds confidence in First Nation youth through cultural celebration, community engagement, and educational support. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support Wake the Giant Orientation, which will directly impact over 300 First Nation youth from 24 remote Northern Ontario communities.
Jacksonville Survivors Foundation provides support, advocacy, and resources to families affected by homicide in Jacksonville, Florida. Funds from the AE Foundation™ will help support the Healing Hearts Kids Day Camp to ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children of homicide survivors.
Brown Girls of Tomorrow empowers middle and high school girls from underserved communities by providing mentorship, mental health resources, and leadership development programs. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help empower girls to manage stress, build resilience, and lead healthier, more confident lives.
ForKids partners with families to combat homelessness and housing instability, providing shelter and stabilization services alongside programs in education, housing placement, and economic mobility. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support the Next Steps Teen Program.
Individuals Making Positive Active Change Together’s Safe and Sound program provides at-risk youth with trauma-informed mentorship, mental health support, and life skills development to help them heal, grow, and thrive. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to enhance and expand its core programs.
It’s On Us is on a mission to build a movement to combat campus sexual assault by giving students of all identities, especially young men, the tools to address the cultural norms at the root of sexual harm. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used to fund a team offering free virtual and in-person training opportunities to chapters in a new LGBTQ+ sexual violence prevention and support program.
Kingsessing Heals Community Resilience Center provides a safe, healing space where those impacted by mass violence can access the support and services needed to foster resilience and renewed well-being in the aftermath of tragedy. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help expand its healing circle program.
Mindful Life Project supports the mental, emotional, and behavioral health and well-being of Title I school communities through direct-service, mindfulness-based social-emotional learning programs. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support the implementation of its programming in nine partner schools in Northern California.
Oakland Genesis delivers cost-free youth development programming to Oakland youth from underserved communities, channeling their passion for soccer into personal growth and well-being, educational achievement, and life success. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help support two additional high school teams.
Project Unloaded works to prevent gun violence by educating, engaging, and empowering teens through cultural campaigns and community partnerships. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will be used for the pilot phase of a social media mental health campaign in central Oregon and in Dallas, Texas.
National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater LA County promotes wellness, recovery, equality, and dignity for individuals and families affected by mental illness and the community at large. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support three to five schools in fire-impacted areas in LA County.
Village Against Violence’s PROJECT REAL empowers teens and young adults by providing mental health support, creative expression workshops, and leadership development. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help provide essential resources, training, and community connections to enhance the well-being of young people.
WiseMind Educational Services’s Emotional Coaching equips teens with practical tools to navigate stress, build resilience, and embrace their authentic selves. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will help provide at-risk students, their families, and educators with critical tools for stress management and emotional resilience at underserved middle and high school sites in Salem-Keizer Public Schools.
The Unbreakable Organization empowers young people to protect their mental health by providing tools, resources, and educational programs. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support workshops, support groups, community events, and educational campaigns designed to help students build resilience and develop practical mental health strategies.
Camp Tanamakoon Charitable Foundation’s Camp Maple Leaf summer program provides a safe, inclusive environment where children facing unique life challenges can build confidence, develop resilience, and strengthen their mental well-being. Funding from the AE Foundation™ will support the summer program.
