AE Foundation™ Grants $100K to Crisis Text Line

In honor of Black History Month, the AE Foundation™ is proud to award a $100,000 Signature Grant to the Crisis Text Line to help aid their programming at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Our grant is made possible by generous donations from the AE fam!

This grant will be used to help expand Crisis Text Line’s in-person presence and mental health support at HBCU campuses in 2025, intending to reduce stigma associated with mental health and increase access to support. The grant will help fund the creation of custom keywords that align with each university mascot at four new locations – for example, text BISON to 741741 for Howard University.

Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, high-quality, confidential, text-based mental

health support and crisis intervention in English and Spanish throughout the U.S. Since its launch in 2013, they have supported over 10 million conversations in the U.S. and 14 million globally, together with their affiliates in Canada, the UK and Ireland.

In crisis and need to talk to someone? Text HOME to 741741 to reach a live volunteer Crisis Counselor.
