Is there anything that screams “fall” more than college football & jeans? (Nope!) We’re pairing up with our favorite college athletes to get to know them better and find out how they wear their AE jeans…First up, 20-year-old quarterback & communications major Kedon!

What’s your favorite subject in school?

Honestly, history’s probably my favorite subject. If I could do it over again I might be a history major.

My personal style is…

Pretty simple. I like wearing a lot of flannel, I love wearing jeans. It’s pretty plain but I like to dress it up with some smaller stuff.

How did you get started playing football?

No one in my family really plays football, but my dad and I started playing catch in the backyard one day when I was 5 or 6 years old, and I loved throwing the football and wanted to get better at it. My mom didn’t let me play at first but eventually my dad and I convinced her.

What was the first professional or live game you went to?

I went to the Cardinals/Chiefs game in 2006. They had just built the new stadium. It was super exciting and super fun, and I knew I wanted to play football from then on.

When it comes to football, who do you look up to?

Probably Tom Brady just ’cause my family are big Michigan fans and he went to Michigan. So my parents kind of made me love Tom Brady.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football and why?

Football is the ultimate team sport. It forces you to rely on your teammates and be disciplined. It teaches a lot of good lessons you’ll incorporate into your daily life and back into the sport.

What has playing football taught you?

If there’s one lesson that football taught me, it would be how to overcome adversity and what toughness looks like. In football, things don’t always go your way or have the right outcome, but I think the main thing is how you attack that and how you react AFTER that outcome.

What’s something you’re looking forward to doing with friends and family this fall?

Just being able to spend more time with them. Outside of communicating over the phone!
