ONE TREE PLANTED
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day – and our AE fam – we partnered with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit focused on global reforestation, to donate 5,000 trees to help build a better future for YOU.
Why is planting trees so important? Because we lose 46-58,000 square miles of forests every year – the equivalent to 48 football fields every minute. And without trees, life would be a lot harder for all of us and Mother Earth.
Trees clean the air & keep the planet cool
They’re like the vacuums of our planet, absorbing harmful pollutants and releasing clean oxygen for us to breath.
Trees filter water.
They play an important role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of natural disasters like floods and landslides.
Trees are home to 80% of the world’s biodiversity
When forests disappear, species can become extinct. Just one single tree can be home to hundreds of species of plants, animals, insects, moss, and fungi!
Trees create jobs.
1.6 billion people on this planet are somehow connected to trees for their livelihoods. Yes, billion.
Trees keep us healthy.
They’re part of 25% off all medicines! And did you know that hospital patients with rooms overlooking trees recover faster than those without the same views?
