#AEOSTYLE Challenge: Boyfriend Shirt

As a brand that encourages and appreciates individual style, each week we love the anticipation of waiting to see how notable fashion bloggers will choose to style an AEO piece in our #AEOStyle challenge. This week’s challenge… the Boyfriend shirt, and per usual, we were not disappointed with the results. Three fashionistas and three completely different looks were outfitted to express the originality of Lauren, Megan and Johnnalynn. Read on to learn why they chose to style the boyfriend shirt the way they did and be inspired to create distinctive looks of your own!

What inspired Lauren’s look:
My summer uniform almost always consists of boyfriend jeans, a strappy heel and some sort of easy, relaxed top. This pastel blue Relaxed Dolman Girlfriend Shirt is the perfect summer staple and the latest addition to my go-to summer look. To dress up the more laid-back vibe, I decided to throw on a crisp white blazer and my favorite bejeweled statement necklace, finishing off the look with a summer-ready pastel lip.

What inspired Megan’s look:
I styled this pretty blue top with some casual linen pants and a summer hat for an easy breezy look. The light colors are perfect for spring while the sleeves and pants still keep me fully covered on those windy spring days. I topped it off with a hat to shield the sun and spent the day outdoors enjoying my favorite season of the year.

What inspired Johnnalynn’s look:
Although I enjoy wearing a variety of different clothing trends, I’m a true bohemian at heart. With festival season now in full swing, I saw the Relaxed Dolman Girlfriend Shirt as the perfect opportunity to style an easy, chic and modern bohemian look. I love how soft and slouchy this shirt is so I thought the relaxed look of the shirt would be a great match with a fitted maxi skirt. My gladiators added a fabulous peak-a-boo for the two slits going up either side of the maxi skirt, and what better accessory to top off a bohemian look than a beautiful flower crown?
