This week we’re heading to SXSW in Austin, Texas to experience everything this city has to offer, including music, fashion and culture. Zilker Park: From Lady Bird Lake, to Barton Springs Pool, Botanical Gardens to recreational fields, Zilker Park offers plenty of outdoor activities for all to enjoy.

Lake Travis: Enjoy activities on the lake including boating, waterskiing and tubing, or dine along the shores at The Oasis.

6th Street: The street acclaimed in this Texas town.  Dance the night away on the Blind Pig’s rooftop or enjoy some live music at Flamingo Cantina.

Air Traffic Controller:  As an Air Traffic Controller for the US Navy, lead singer/songwriter Dave Munro found inspiration to write demos while on deployment. He’s since formed the successful band that Air Traffic Controller is today.

Phantogram: The band name was inspired by an optical illusion called a Phantogram in which two-dimensional images appear to be three-dimensional. Phantogram’s music can be described in a similar state as it has a way of taking you from reality to a supernatural state of mind.

Classixx: It’s no surprise here that we’ve added Classixx to our list of must- see artists. After all, they did create Spring Break and Summer playlists for AEO!  This Electronic/DJ Duo from Los Angles can keep a party going with their unique and upbeat tunes that will have you dancing all night long.

Genre: Electronic

The Neighbourhood: Despite the British spelling of their name, The Neighbourhood is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. With deep tracks that have somewhat of an eerie disposition, The Neighbourhood will keep you engaged in their moody beats that will make you feel something deeper than your average alternative rock song.

Genre: Alternative Rock

American Authors: Based out of Brooklyn, NY, American Authors are best known for their hit single, “Best Day of My Life.” Their lyrical and instrumental talents fall nothing short of awesome and we can guarantee that their performance at SXSW will be filled with energy and excitement.
