How to Style the Fit & Flare Dress with Style Bungalow

Meet Stephanie:
“Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie, a twenty-something former ballerina turned PR pro living in a sub-tropical paradise in South Florida. Addicted to fashion, I started The Style Bungalow in March 2014 as a way to share my personal, relatable style, inspirations and thoughts – one fab outfit at a time. I’m a firm believer that the choices we make in our day-to-day outfits can send a powerful message. From cool confidence to chic to free-spirited and creative, it’s important to make sure you’re reflecting who you are through your personal style. When I’m not home blogging, working or dancing the night away, I can be found running around town searching for on-trend pieces, spending time with my friends and family or soaking up the beautiful Florida sun. Cheers!”

Floral dresses are a staple every fashionista needs in their wardrobe this spring. This one, by American Eagle, feels fresh and girly, and swishes gently as you walk… or dance! I wore it with brown strappy heels and a jean jacket, but you can totally wear yours on a sunny spring day with sandals, hat and an oversized tote.”

Maxi dresses are great in spring because they’re seasonal but will keep your legs warm if you get an unexpected spring chill. I always hate when I pull out a cute spring mini and then it’s a windy day. I love the bohemian print on this maxi from AE. It’s perfect for music festivals or weekend brunch dates with friends!”

What Inspired Eleni’s Look:
“I’m always looking to create effortless bohemian chic looks and this shift dress made it very simple.  With festival seasons right around the corner I wanted to create something inspiring that could easily be recreated by others.  The look works perfectly with the transition from winter to spring all i had to do was add a pair of opaque tights, booties and a cardigan.  I can easily restyle it on it’s own once the weather warms up.  No matter how I decide to style it, this dress speaks volumes on it’s own.”

Bloggers Do It Better: Maxi Dresses

Bloggers Do It Better: Maxi Dresses
We challenged two fashion bloggers – Cara from A Fashion Love Affair and Elizabeth from Elizabeth Victoria – to style the AE Printed Corset Maxi in their own way. Check out how they styled their maxi dress and let us know which look is your favorite in the comments.

“I love the bright colors in this dress, so I didn’t want to take away by adding any more colors… I decided to pair the maxi with a leather jacket – I love the juxtaposition of a pretty dress with a tougher piece, and the jacket did just the trick!” -Cara from A Fashion Love Affair in the AE Printed Corset Maxi

“I styled this uber-feminine maxi dress with a cropped leather jacket to toughen it up just a little bit. I love looks that are girly, but with an edge.” -Elizabeth from Elizabeth Victoria in the AE Printed Corset Maxi
