#AskJenny Question of the Week: Why Do I Need a Full Coverage Bra?

You might be thinking that full coverage bras are just for the larger-chested ladies. But we have Aerie’s fit and style expert, Jenny Altman, and Kerstyn, Merchandise Manager of Aerie bras, here to set the record straight!

Watch below for Jenny and Kerstyn’s tips and tricks on all things full coverage.

Jenny’s take on full coverage? Full coverage bras are really a great t-shirt bra option for girls of all sizes! In fact, it’s your breast shape, rather than your size, that’s the more important factor to consider when deciding what level of coverage is right for you. Full coverage bras, like Aerie’s best selling Sunnie Lightly Lined bra, are especially good choices for girls that are fuller in the top of the breast.

Katie Lightly Lined Bra

The full coverage Katie Lightly Lined Bra is an Aerie girl’s best friend…and has the 5-star reviews to prove it!

Want to hear more? Check out why Jenny thinks every girl needs a trusty pushup bra in her life.

For tips from Jenny on finding the perfect bra for you, email your fit and style questions to AskJenny@ae.com, or tweet @Aerie with #AskJenny!

Real Talk: Why You Need a Pushup Bra

Even if a pushup isn’t your daily go-to, it’s a total necessity in every girl’s bra wardrobe! Whether you’re looking for everyday perky or weekend whoa, Aerie has the perfect bra for you. Pushup bras are great for girls of all shapes and sizes to provide just the right amount of support and push.

Watch below for reasons why our Merchandise Manager for Aerie bras, Kerstyn, and fit and style expert Jenny Altman love a good pushup.

The Bridget Pushup bra is one of our go-to’s for every day. Jenny’s favorite? The Ella Gel, for its natural, perky lift. Kerstyn loves the Charley Plunge for her v and scoop-neck tops!

Drew Pushup

The Drew Pushup bra adds two cup sizes for some serious “whoa!” factor.

Real Talk: Why You Need a Layering Bra

Today, we’re chatting with Kerstyn, Merchandise Manager for Aerie bras, and Jenny, our fit & style expert, about the bras you NEED in your back-to-school wardrobe. Today’s topic? Layering bras!

At Aerie, “layering bras” is just another way of saying bralettes. Our layering bras are really a chance to have fun with your bra and make it an accessory to your outfit. These bras are meant to be seen, so show them off! Our Perky Bralette is a great option for smaller-chested girls looking for a little push, but also is a perfect wireless option for girls with larger cup sizes looking for more support.

More about Kerstyn, Aerie’s Merchandising Manager for bras,

“Hi, Aerie girls! I’m from Arcadia, CA. I’ve worked 10 years in the merchandising business because it allows me to wear multiple hats and no day is ever the same. It’s the perfect balance of creativity and analytics. My favorite bra is the Sunnie…she will change your life! I would describe myself as a perfectionist, sarcastic, fashionable and opinionated. Something not many people know about me is that I’m a HUGE NASCAR fan, thanks to my Dad (or not thanks to him!). I am #AerieREAL because I don’t apologize for having an opinion and being a leader.”

Thanks, Kerstyn! Stay tuned for more from Jenny and Kerstyn on the bras you NEED to have for back-to-school.

Xoxo,

Aerie

#AskJenny Question of the Week: How Should My Bra Band Fit?

This week, everyone was wanting to know Jenny’s quick fixes for bra band issues! Since your band is the part of your bra providing the most support, it is so important to make sure you find your perfect fit. Jenny’s tips will help make sure you’re getting the size and support you need in a bra band, every time!

Q: How should my bra band feel when I first buy it? Tight or loose?

Q: My band is super tight and uncomfortable! Help!

A: If your band is too tight and digging in, chances are you just need to go up a band size. Or, sometimes, you need to realize that that bra style may just not be the best style for you.

Q: My band is riding up in the back! How can I keep it from sliding around?

A: If your band is riding up in the back, it’s too big! You need to go down a band size. You should be able to comfortably wear your bra on the loosest hook without any issues with it slipping and sliding.

That’s it for now! Have more questions for Jenny about fit and style? Email her at AskJenny@ae.com, or tweet @Aerie with #AskJenny! We’ll be answering your FAQ’s weekly on the blog (last week, we covered your question, “what is a sister size, and will it work for me?”).

Xoxo,

Aerie
