We’re channeling our inner-90s this summer – think Boy Meets World, My So Called Life, Full House… And the one piece we can’t forget? The plaid shirt. Fashion bloggers Megan from Style’d Avenue and Sara from Love by Lynn each styled our Sleeveless Plaid Button Down. See their looks below and be sure to visit their blogs to see even more photos.

What inspired Megan’s look:
This colorful plaid button up makes you look more tan than ever. Plaid will always give your outfit texture and personality, so I styled it with some simple destroyed denim. For chilly nights, I tied my favorite sweater around my waist for a relaxed and chic look. I love this plaid top paired with your favorite denim shorts and some simple sneakers. It’s the perfect summer top!

What inspired Sara’s look:
I gave this sleeveless plaid shirt a more casual look by wearing Birkenstocks, boyfriend shorts, hair pulled back in a messy pony and added this fresh red bag for a pop of color. It’s an easy, fresh look you can pull together for any occasion.

#AEOSTYLE Challenge: Joggers

Have you tried summer’s hottest trend in pants – the jogger? With a relaxed fit, drawstring waist and cuffed bottom, this is where style and comfort come together. Although joggers might look like a dressed-up sweat pant, joggers are the coolest fashion piece you can have in your closet right now.

Four Atlanta fashion bloggers, Jessica from My Style Vita, Lauren from Fashionably Lo, Megan from Lush to Blush and Tiffany from Tiffany Style are doing a four-week style challenge this summer. Each girl wanted to take on our Joggers for this week’s challenge. See how each girl styled her look below and head to their blogs to see even more looks.

Meet Jessica:
Jessica is a fashion and lifestyle blogger for My Style Vita. She shares her everyday style from fashion, food to decor. She is also the co-founder of the first blogging community of its kind, Southern Blog Society.

1

Jessica from My Style Vita in our Joggers.

What inspired Jessica’s look:
I wanted to dress these up to make them feel more like a knit bottom than a casual sweatpant. Adding floral heels and a black blouse instantly made me feel dressed up.

2

Lauren from Fashionably Lo in our Joggers.

What inspired Lauren’s look:
From lazy day lounging to casual date night, I dressed up my joggers with a simple ribbed tank, my favorite pair of ankle strap heels and a bold pink lip. I love how effortless these pants are and already foresee them being a major wardrobe staple this summer!

3

Megan from Lush to Blush in our Joggers.

What inspired Megan’s look:
I paired my joggers with a casual chambray button down, fun printed sandals and topped it all off with my new favorite hat for a day of travel. These pants are great for a girl on the go since they are the perfect combination of comfortable and chic. And depending on how you style them, they can easily be dressed up or down. I went for a happy medium with this look.

Meet Tiffany:
Tiffany Olson is a social media consultant and fashion columnist. She started Tiffany Style in 2009 as a platform for her fashion interests and projects. She loves sharing her latest fashion finds on Tiffany Style Blog and aims to always keep her readers up-to-date on the latest and greatest in the fashion world

4

Tiffany from Tiffany Style in our Joggers.

What inspired Tiffany’s look:
I really wanted to keep this look pretty simple and just give it a bit of edge with a heel. I basically treated these pants like I treat my boyfriend jeans which made styling them pretty easy. Even if you’re wearing a simple striped top like I am, adding some heels and maybe a little jewelry takes the look from I-actually-woke-up-like-this to cute and casual weekend wear.

#AEOSTYLE Challenge: Mens’ Printed Shirt

Guys, girls aren’t the only ones who can wear prints! Prints elevate any outfit to the next level and luckily, we have a bevy of exciting prints for you to choose from!  While wearing a printed shirt might be a little bolder than you’re used to (literally and figuratively), you can start by choosing a print that suits your style. With a selection that offers everything from masculine florals to chain links and stars and stripes, whatever you choose, will be an instantaneous conversation starter (hint: cue the ladies) and take your #AEOStyle to the next level.

Menswear blogger Freddy Rodriquez from Blue Perk is never one to shy away from the trendiest pieces for a season. We asked him to style one of our printed shirts. Check out his photos below which were taken in Paris where men push the fashion boundaries to the extreme style limits, and show us how you style your prints with #AEOSTYLE on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. You could see your photo on our AE.com Style Gallery or on our blog!
