2014 was a fantastic year. Katy Perry dressed up as a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto, Michael Jackson performed again as a hologram, Apple launched the iPhone 6, George Clooney finally got married and Miley Cyrus introduced our ears to Wrecking Ball. We want to end 2014 with a bang. Check out our look for New Year’s Eve and make December 31st, the best night ever. Cheers to bringing in 2015 with #AEOSTYLE.
Hi everyone! It’s Jenni from I Spy DIY, back with a new series of DIY projects geared toward the holidays. This week I am going to show you how to spice up your winter hat with some leather and studs to give it a statement makeover!
What you need:
Goorin Francis Fratelli Fedora
Screw on studs
What to do:
Step One: Measure the circumference of the hat and cut two strips of leather that when overlapped an inch on each end will fit snuggly around the brim.
Step Two: Using the leather punch, create two rows of holes along the leather strip.
Step Three: Screw in each stud by pushing the back through the hole and screwing on the top.
Step Four: Connect the two ends of the strip by doubling up the leather, punching holes through both ends.
Step Five: Take the final band and put on your hat. If you wish to make the band permanent, attach it with a couple dabs of glue. Done!

Blogger Adriana from Leopard Martini show us how she styles our favorite holiday sweater below.

What inspired Adriana’s Look:
I tend to gravitate more towards cozy looks during the colder months, and this AEO sweater is just perfect to throw on over my favorite pair of leggings and mixed with a chic scarf. The pretty pattern and comfy knit make it the perfect winter staple, so ideal for a day of running errands, grabbing coffee with friends, or staying warm indoors working on my blog. I’m definitely planning to wear this sweater all winter long, and can’t wait to style it a few different ways.
Once you’re done creating your own mini stockpile of Aerie Blanket Scarves, it’s time to think about the special people in your life. The holidays are, of course, a time for giving. And who wouldn’t want an extra large, super soft (not-to-mention super cute!) blanket scarf to add to their winter wardrobe?
Why Kristin loves the blanket scarf:
I personally can’t get enough of them! I think I’ve added about 8 new prints, colors and patterns to my collection this year, and the season isn’t even over! A blanket scarf if a great way to mix up a look without too much effort. For example: take a simple look like jeans and a solid long sleeve shirt – add in a plaid blanket scarf, or a stripe version. Either option completely transforms the look a little differently without the need to change anything else. A definite must-have for the year!
