The arrival of spring means one thing to fashion and music lovers alike — festival season. You can achieve street-style readiness with American Eagle Outfitters pieces including leather booties, maxi-skirts with an edgy slit, festival shorties and overstated jewelry.
We challenged three fashion bloggers, Erika and Natalie from The Fashionably Broke and Sara from StyleMBA to each create a head-to-toe look that can get you through any weekend festival while staying fashionable and feeling comfortable. Check out each girls look and be sure to visit their blogs to see even more photos.
Sara is a DC native. Her blog, StyleMBA, is a DC style blog about the business of fashion and home decor.
What inspired Sara’s look:
When I think of festival style I think COMFORT. A distressed pair of AEO cutoffs, some booties, and a soft flannel top are the perfect uniform for a day of frolicking in the dessert and enjoying your favorite bands day and night.
About The Fashionably Broke:
The Fashionably Broke is a blog dedicated to inspiring the fellow fashion-obsessed. Written and told by two sisters, Natalie and Erika Pinto, through style expression and linking to their favorite brands and products. It is their mission to inspire girls everywhere achieve a fashionable lifestyle, on any budget.
What inspired Erika’s look:
A black maxi skirt is best dressed down with a studded belt and booties and must have a nice, high slit for easy, breezy movement.
What inspired Natalie’s look:
Swapping out regular blue jean cut-offs for a pair of black denim ones, paired with a sheer blouse, can really amp up your desert style. Don’t forget your backpack and body jewelry, of course!
Be sure to show us your festival fashions with #AEOSTYLE on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr for the chance to be on our blog or AE.com Style Gallery.
