How to Style a Harem Pant

Faves for free spirits! Blogger Olia from Love, Olia pairs a Crop Tee with our Harem Pant for an effortless day-to-night look.

How to Style a Harem Pant“For a while now, I have been a HUGE fan of Aerie. First of all, I love their items from lingerie to clothing and more and even more than that, I’m obsessed with the message they portray to women of all ages out there. They are committed to making all girls feel good about themselves – no matter the size – and to be honest, shouldn’t ALL brands do that these days?? I think yes..

Sometimes, even as a style blogger it’s hard not to find yourself comparing yourself to others and trying to fit into these impossible standards that well — when you find a brand that just loves to embrace women for who they are and encourages them to love themselves exactly the way they are, a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders.”

How to Style a Harem Pant“Like I mentioned above, Aerie carries tons of amazing items such as lingerie and swimwear but what some may not know is that they also have some beyond amazing clothing/lounge items as well! Since I’m a total Cali girl, when I saw their awesome Harem pants I thought they would be perfect for that comfy SoCal style that I know I love to sport on the daily.

Their Deep Waters Harem Pant caught my eye since I wanted a bright color to stand out at the beach and such but they also have some more subtle colors if that’s more your style. I can’t even begin to explain how comfy these pants are you guys! You literally feel like you’re wearing PJ pants that are stylish enough to wear out. Talk about amazing, right?”

How to Style a Harem PantHow to Style a Harem PantHow to Style a Harem Pant“I also want to talk about how to style the Harem pant since some people think it can be a bit challenging. Since Harem pants sit a little bit higher waisted, I like to wear cropped tops or wear tops that I can tuck in such as a loose tank or even a body suit! I chose to pair it with this off-the-shoulder crop tee in navy. I’m not one to show too much skin but I feel like it shows just the proper amount without it being too much.

Aerie also has some bodysuit options available which I was debating wearing with it as well but ultimately went with the crop top. I do, however, think a bodysuit would be a super cute option and totally different!”

How to Style a Harem PantHow to Style a Harem Pant“Remember, these pants can be dressed up or down depending the kind of mood you are in! Wear them as lounge pants at home with a loose knit sweater for a laid back look, or dress it up a bit as I did for a look you can definitely wear out! There’s one thing you will not regret — how COMFORTABLE you feel in them, that’s for sure!”

What Inspired Alyssa’s Look:
“When it comes to picking out an outfit, comfort is always my priority! Sure, of course I care about the way it looks– but feeling comfortable (and confident) in your outfit is just as important. This top is perfect for the summer because of it’s light and airy material. I especially love the lace and wide bell sleeves, as it gives it a bohemian vibe. Let’s just say, a flowy top and distressed shorts is my favorite combination for a warm summer’s day.”

Top 3 Bralette Trends

From tribal lace to longline fits, our new bralette designs are never ending, so who better to tell us more about these exciting, new styles than Aerie Bra Designer, Yecca? Read on to learn about her favorite bralette trends and the truth about just how many bralettes she has in her closet. Top 3 Bralette Trends The Sunnie is our absolute fave bralette this season, but we can’t forget about all of our new lace bralettes! Can you tell us a little bit about some of the new lace designs?
Absolutely in love with our mesh embroidered triangle, it did so well last season that we brought it back in a beautiful new rust color! It’s an elevated yet simple feminine staple for any outfit! I also adore our tribal lace t-back bralette with special triangle hardware at the straps and square hardware at the center front – this was inspired by a vintage style I came across!

If you had to choose, which bralette is your favorite?
Probably the mesh embroidered triangle– I love the matte texture of the yarns and the pretty back for layering!

Top 3 Bralette Trends We are obsessed with the Boho Longline Bralette! What inspiration did you draw from to design this style?
This lace is so visual, so I really wanted to give our girl more of it by designing into an exaggerated longline. The dramatic handkerchief hem also adds coverage so that you can rock it as a top!

Top 3 Bralette Trends How would you style a bralette for Fall?
Layered under a sheer flowy low back top with faded skinny jeans and strappy sandals.

Be honest. How many bralettes do you own?
At least 60 – it’s a been a long love affair!🙂
