What Inspired Eleni’s Look:
“I’m always looking to create effortless bohemian chic looks and this shift dress made it very simple.  With festival seasons right around the corner I wanted to create something inspiring that could easily be recreated by others.  The look works perfectly with the transition from winter to spring all i had to do was add a pair of opaque tights, booties and a cardigan.  I can easily restyle it on it’s own once the weather warms up.  No matter how I decide to style it, this dress speaks volumes on it’s own.”

It’s a great way to discover new bands while listening to some of your favorite up and coming artists as well. Two showcases we recommend checking out are Blackheart and St. Davids Church. Last year, Communion Music presented artists like Sam Smith and Hozier. during their showcases in Austin. This year, both artists were Grammy nominees and Sam Smith, a multi-Grammy winner.

What Inspired Neal’s Look:
“My travels are always inspiring my thoughts, and in turn my style. Recently I had the opportunity to vacation in a hot climate (which was a great change of scenery from the freezing cold Canadian temps). The palms and the whole vibe of the island were very relaxing, so I went for a more relaxed look. The palm printed jogger shorts were perfect for wear from the beach to sight seeing. I mixed prints by adding a striped tee and then added a denim jacket for when it got breezy in the evening. A denim jacket is a classic that can be worked in your wardrobe all year round, and mixed with trendier pieces.”

How to Style the Hi-Rise Festival Shortie with Thetique

Heading to spring break? Gearing up for festival season? Grab a pair of Hi-Rise Festival Shorties and thank us later. No, seriously. Between it’s soft cotton denim, destroyed details and frayed hem, you’ll be in hi-rise heaven.

Tiana from the Thetique blog puts a classic twist on these edgy shorts by adding stripes and a timeless denim jacket below.

Meet Tiana:
Tiana Lewis, by definition, is native Nebraskan and full-time student at Texas Christian University. However at heart, she is a creative, a dreamer, and an optimist of all sorts. You can find her blogging about life, style, and everyday musings at Thetique, a space rooted in the belief that there is beauty in everything. Past unconventional beauty, she believes in things like: meaningful conversation, a life lead with intentionality, and running steadfastly in the direction of your dreams.

How to Style the Hi-Rise Festival Shortie with Thetique What Inspired Tiana’s Look:
“Recently, I’ve been leaning more toward timeless outfits-ones you’ll look back on ten years down the road and think, “Man, I had style,” instead of “What was I thinking?” And because I believe that these kinds of looks are best dressed with a bit of edge, the Hi-Rise Festival Shorties make for the perfect piece to have in your closet long-term. They’re great with just about everything. I decided to pair them with a simple stripe, great wash of denim and a wide-brimmed hat to put together a look that could be easily recreated by anyone looking for a relaxed, yet stylish outfit created solely from the pieces in their closet.”
