Over the next few weeks, we will be profiling each cast member from the Live Your Life campaign. The blog posts were written & photos were captured by Leanne F., who traveled with the crew during the shoot to document the experience.

This guy loves music. As we walked into Ty’s house in Echo Park, we were greeted by a serenade from Ty and a couple of his music buddies. Now, this is a good way to start a shoot: guitars and friends on the porch, beautiful California day, and smiles for miles.

Ty is a musician, writer, actor, revolutionary, biker, and the list goes on… This kid has passion and lots of dreams. It’s contagious and I couldn’t help but get excited just being around him. In fact, 20 minutes into arriving at the shoot, I was sitting on the porch with Ty’s band mate writing a song.

After shooting Ty in his house, we ran around his neighborhood a little bit, chasing him with a camera. Or in my case, I was chasing the photographer David, who was chasing Ty. Ty seemed totally in his element; AE side bag on, earbuds in, listening to some Julian Casablancas and having a LA kind of day. When we wrapped up shooting, Ty wanted to play us one of his songs. I left the shoot feeling like I had just hung out with old friends all day. Now that is a good day on the job!
