Meet Stephanie: Stephanie is a twenty-something, former ballerina turned PR pro living in South Florida. Addicted to fashion, she started her blog, The Style Bungalow, in March 2014 as a way to share her personal, relatable style, inspirations and thoughts. She believes the choices you make in your day-to-day outfits can send a powerful message. From cool confidence to chic and sophisticated to free-spirited and creative, she feels it’s important to reflect who you are and what you feel through your personal style. When she’s not home blogging, working or dancing the night away, Stephanie can be found running around town searching for cool pieces, spending time with her friends or soaking up the Florida sun!

What inspired Stephanie’s look: “This romper rocks! It’s quickly becoming my favorite – and a piece that I definitely plan on wearing throughout the winter months here in Florida. I love it because it’s easy to wear and goes with everything in my closet right now! For this outfit, I threw on a pair of fringe heels and styled it with a denim jacket and felt hat to make it causal. You can also wear it with slouchy boots, a heavier jacket and a cute crossbody bag, but I prefer sandals – especially since it’s still so warm here in Florida!”

How To Style The AEO Oversized Plaid Blazer With The Boho Flow

Fall is all about getting cozy in bold prints and patterns. Our Oversized Plaid Blazer is the quintessential transition piece for getting used to those colder days. Cristina from THE BOHO FLOW pieces together similar color tones for classic #AEOSTYLE. Get to know Cristina and the inspiration behind her look below.

Meet Cristina: Travelling between New York, Montreal and Los Angeles, Cristina Monti inspires her readers by bringing style, music and joy. Everything beautiful comes to life on her personal blog THE BOHO FLOW.
With THE BOHO FLOW, she’s creating an image that not only inspires young women around the world but empowers them while inciting just the right amount of confidence.  She’s driven to enrich the vision of her following by building a positive unified welcoming platform.  Every look fashioned by THE BOHO FLOW is built by a strong influential team to create the highest quality images.
Besides her love for everything she believes to be beautiful, Cristina has an insatiable passion for design & travelling.
She’s collaborating with style influencers to give her readers the most stimulating seasonal outfits, styles and trends.

What Inspired Cristina’s Look: For most of us that don’t live in endless summer weather, Fall has officially arrived. It’s always so important to bundle up within the first couple of weeks of transitional weather to avoid getting sick. Here, I put together the perfect Fall ensemble that will surely keep anyone warm and stylish. When layering it’s always very important to wear similar colour tones. Grey’s, blacks, taupe and camel are really the “IT” colours of the season.
In this particular look, what truly brings it all together is this beautiful and warm American Eagle plaid sweater, which is conveniently on point with this season’s trending colour palette. After years of searching, I’m so happy to have finally found the perfect plaid sweater. It’s definitely a closet staple, its achromatic colours can simply never run out of style, plus its warm, cozy and so stylish. It can be worn as a light jacket to wear over a pretty dress or even just a simple date night to a diner followed by a late movie. I paired the look with a light grey pant, to really make the sweater pop and completed it with a classic black bootie.
Wishing you all a lovely week!
With love,

How To Wear Flex Cafe Denim With Blue Collar Prep

You may be familiar with our Men’s Flex Denim. It moves with you, ensuring comfort and quality aren’t compromised. What you may not have known is that we’ve taken our revolutionary high performance stretch even further by making it with recycled coffee grounds. Eric from Blue Collar Prep styled our Men’s Slim Straight Active Flex / Cafe Jean with an “edge meets comfort” vibe. Get to know Eric and the inspiration behind his #AEOSTYLE below.

Meet Eric: I’m Eric! I’m a NY electrician with a love for fashion & shopping more than my wife lol. My blog and instagram accounts let me showcase my interests that I can’t do on the 9 to 5. My style is more on the casual side, but I love exploring all areas of fashion and try to keep my looks versatile. I’ve got an adorable son Nate who keeps me on my toes, so it’s important for me to stay comfortable but show that dad’s can still have swag and be stylish!

What Inspired Eric’s Look: Being that it’s flannel season, I find myself wearing plaid button downs a lot. To switch it up I layered mine over a striped tee with my black leather jacket. Mixing different patterns gives any outfit that little bit of edge that I like. This kind of style goes well with a good pair of jeans with that broken-in denim look! I really dig these because the flex denim makes it feel like you’re wearing sweatpants, without compromising style. I’m a big fan of cuffing my pants – no matter the style…jogger, skinny, slim fit, cargo, I always seem to go with a cuff. I also always like to accessorize any outfit where I can to add a couple extra details!

How To Style the Patterned Cami With Northern Indigo

This Fall is all about incorporating seventies-inspired trends into your every day #AEOSTYLE. We’ve seen flared denim make a huge comeback as well as fringe and patterned inspired pieces. Kennedy from Northern Indigo channeled her inner boho by pairing our patterned cami back to flared denim and minimal accessories. Get to know Kennedy and the inspiration behind her #AEOSTYLE below.

Meet Kennedy: “Hey! I’m Kennedy Dawn Stearns. I am a 20 year old desert dweller. I attend Arizona State University, majoring in Creative Writing Poetry. I founded Northern Indigo (my fashion and lifestyle blog) just last year and have had so much fun growing it. I am loving life and seeking adventure.”

What Inspired Kennedy’s Look: “With the 70s back in action, I have loved a good pair of flared denim! I wanted the bright boho print to stand out, so I wore minimal jewelry. I absolutely love a good pair of ankle boots and my brown suede ones I am wearing with this outfit are my absolute favorites right now. I wanted to stick with the boho theme, so natural hair was a must. The 70s are alive and well.”

#MusicMonday: Kill Them With Colour Interview

We sat down with Wesley Marsh, the talent, heart and brains behind his band Kill Them With Colour to talk about music, style and the inspiration behind his success. Get to know Wesley in our exclusive AEO interview below and be sure to check out his new Brandon Flowers remix and more on Soundcloud.

Wes 5

AEO: Hey Wesley! You’ve been making a big splash in the music world recently, but before we talk about music, we’ve heard this isn’t the only thing you’re good at. Some of your previous roles include model/actor, graphic designer and producer? Tell us about this transition from one form of expression to another,
Wesley: I was born in France and my dad started taking me to castings in Pairs. I started getting into that work around 1989-1990. I had a little agency and that’s how I made my university money. I also did acting shows and taught English to French speaking people. The graphic design is all self taught. I wanted to push the brand myself and refrain from having to always hit someone up for graphics. I’ve done a lot of art myself, painting in particular. Then the transition into music started around 2003.  I got my Com-Tech teacher to change the course so I could focus solely on music. I was DJing a lot with my friends and I was in point in college where I had to pick music so I chose that path.

AEO: What has experimenting with all of these forms of expression taught you about yourself?
Wesley: Be open, experiment .

AEO: Was there a specific artist, band or album that’s influenced your path in music?
Wesley: I used to dance to Michael Jackson for hours when I was younger. I’d come home from school and my dad would be working in the dining room and I’d be dancing. I would have to close the doors close in the dining room to start dancing haha. Deep Forest and Enya on long car rides with my mom also influenced my music. Others that inspired me were Trinidad- Dance Hall and Reggae, Soca Calypso, basically growing up with that type of stuff. I also appreciate Major Lazor because he uses electronic with reggae. It has all those touchpioints which I like. It’s pretty eclectic.

AEO: Who are some of your biggest influences in music? Is there anyone that you’d like to work with?
Wesley: The great classical composers, Beethoven. There’s so many. I always say Jai-Paul from the UK. He released like 1 song in the past 5 years BTSTU and its amazing. His work that comes out is so awesome. Maybe if I mentioned him I can pull him out of the woodwork haha!

AEO: What’s the process like to create a remix?
Wesley: If artists send me the A capella’s then it’s a lot easier. I’ll start with chopping up vocals and build a chord progression. From there on out I’ll just feel it out and figure out what track its going to be. It’s basically chopping up and sampling a lot of stuff. I like to use a persons remix for synths, vocal samples and processions.

AEO: How did you come up with the name Kill Them With Colour?
Wesley: My mom and her artist friend in Trinidad. They’d go around and sell art and when she couldn’t sell anything they would come up with a term called “kill them with color”. Basically painting with so much color that it would sell because of the vibrancy. For me, I sometimes have so many types of music that people say there’s a sound to the name.

AEO: You’ve played at plenty of music festivals this summer including FireFly, Hellow festival, Bestival, Moonrise and more. What’s it like playing in front of thousands of people?
Wesley: Firefly was insane. The energy was awesome. To walk out onto a stage and to see that it’s surreal and humbling. I didn’t expect that a year ago. I also had all my friends at Firefly so the vibe was amazing.

West 4

AEO: Is there a music festival that you’d like to play at?
Wesley: Bonnaroo. I really want to play there.

AEO: What is your favorite place to perform?
Wesley: Beach, Pool Vibe. It plays into my upbringing. I need the sun and a nice beach.

AEO: Funniest or most embarrassing moment on the road?
Wesley: This would have to be at FireFly. We were staying in the camp grounds. I brought 10 of my homies and we decided to take all the windows and the roof off of my buddies jeep and duck tape my laptop and controllers to the top of the jeep. We drove around the camp site and I kid you not, we have go pro footage of like 40 people dancing around the jeep and I’m in the middle. My one friends holding a KTWC sign and my other friend is holding a huge Canadian flag. It was the best pre-party of the festival.

AEO: Best fan moment?
Wesley: Its as my first fan photo. I got off stage and my friend found this guy in the crowd, they brought him to the side and was like he wants a picture he’s your biggest fan. The best part about it was he was wearing the same Popsicle shirt as me so that was hilarious.

AEO: What advice do you have for someone who wants to get into music?
Wesley: Make music that you want to hear. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

AEO: Describe your #AEOSTYLE
Wesley: It’s funny that I have the name KTWC bc I wear a lot of black. I have custom black sneakers and tapered pants, black jeans with the pinroll, black shirt. I have all of these hats and tossing a bunch of multi-color paint on them so that’s the KTWC accent.

Wes 2

AEO: Congrats on your launch of Brandon Flowers remix! Where can someone find out more about what you’re up to?
I’m always in the studio and on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (boraborlan). I always try to keep the snaps fun.

AEO: When you’re not playing music, what can we find you doing?
Wesley: Arts and crafts.
