How To: Pairing Men’s Denim With The Right Shoe

Have you ever put on a great-fitting pair of jeans only to be left wondering what shoes to wear with them? We’re here to help. With tons of fits and washes in our Men’s Denim collection, there’s a style for everyone from the trend-right skinny jean to the classic bootcut. Add shoes to the equation (sandals, boots, sneakers & more), and things can get a little dicey. Keep scrolling down to see how we’re pairing men’s denim with the right shoe.

Skinny Jean x Low Boots
The skinny leg opening of our Men’s Skinny Jean pairs perfectly with a low boot. Skinny jeans are great for showing off a cool shoe thanks to their ability to sit on top of the ankle rather than hang over the shoe. We paired these destructed Core Flex Skinny Jeans with a Chukka boot from Eastland, which sit right above the ankle.

Slim Jean x Sneakers
Thanks to the slim, tapered fit of our Slim Core Flex Jean, your sneakers can do all the talking here. Paired with a hi- or low-top sneaker, the slim jean sits right on the top of your shoe and won’t bunch up. We think a slim jean looks laid-back pegged (rolled) up once or twice, so if that’s more your style, this is the fit for you.

Original Straight Jean x Sandals
The original straight jean has a wider leg opening than a slim or skinny, so it will fall past your ankles and fit straight thru the leg. It’s the perfect match for a pair of sandals or flip flops. We paired the Original Straight Active Flex Jean with a pair of Birkenstocks.

Original Boot Jean x Boots
Our Original Boot Jean fits straight through the thigh and features a bottom cut made for boots, by name! A sturdier boot, like a pair of leather or suede Eastlands, are the best match for these jeans, which will hug the outsole of the boot.
