How To Style The Tomgirl Jean With Vanilla Extract

At AEO, we’re all about celebrating new denim in 2016. From fits to washes, we’ve incorporated new design into America’s #1 brand of jeans. To help us celebrate, blogger Nichole Ciotti from Vanilla Extract styled some of our favorite fits in a three part blogger series. Today’s style is all about the Tomgirl jean. Get to know Nichole and the inspiration behind denim look number 1 below.

Meet Nichole: Nichole Ciotti is a 20-something year old entrepreneur living in the San Francisco Bay Area. When she’s not traveling or exploring the Bay Area, you’ll find her working on a new social media app with her boyfriend, Brian. The two both share a passion for photography and love spending their weekends shooting in undiscovered places. Nichole’s style can best be described as “simple, but dynamic,” which she shares on Instagram and her blog, Vanilla Extract.

What Inspired Nichole’s Look: “This year, I’m experimenting with lighter denim washes and comfortable fits. I can’t get enough of these distressed Tomgirl jeans because they strike the perfect balance between a skinny jean and true boyfriend jeans. The fit makes me feel feminine while still exuding a relaxed look that is perfect for a fun day with friends. This lighter wash inspired me to create a winter white look complete with a chunky off-white turtleneck and nude pumps. The pumps elevate the look from day to night giving us all a reason to take those Tomgirl jeans out to dinner for date night.”
