It doesn’t get much easier to pick out an outfit in the morning than choosing a romper. Our Soft Ruffled Romper is an effortless way to look chic. Take styling cues from Chelsea from Zipped and Ashlyn from AK Triple Thread and wear your romper now with a wool fedora and cardigan or later with a floppy wide-brimmed hat and flats.
Cheslea lives and works in downtown Minneapolis, where she writes Zipped by night and manages an office job by day. She spends all of her free time writing and drinking coffee and considers her closet a collection that she’s had the pleasure of sharing with readers for over three years now. She loves finding simple ways to incorporate trends into her classic, comfortable wardrobe.
What inspired Cheslea’s look:
I have never been a dress girl, so rompers are an easy way for me to mix up my regular pants-and-top look. I tend to keep a pretty neutral color palette, so the muted olive tone of this silky romper fits perfectly into my wardrobe. I styled it with a dove grey open cardigan to layer up the texture, and finished with structured black accessories to add an edge to the look.

What inspired Ashlyn’s look:
I thought that the jumpsuit had a distinctly retro, 70s vibe while still being able to be dressed down. I decided to keep the outfit simple, but vintage inspired, with a big floppy hat and some cut-out flats.
