#AEOSTYLE Challenge: Dress Up, Dress Down

Cathy Anderson from Poor Little It Girl is determined to find the most stylish pieces every season for under $100. We’re fans of her ability to create classic style with a hint of Southern Charm and do it on a budget. What’s more charming and Southern than a pretty sundress or a classic maxi dress?.. Not much!   Which is why we’re taking styling cues from Cathy this week as she dresses up our Embroidered Halter Maxi Dress and dresses down our Cutout Jacquard Sundress. Oh, and did we mention all of our dresses are $25, today (April 28, 2014) only- score!!!

Cathy’s look is perfect for a baseball tailgate!

What inspired Cathy’s look:
One of my favorite trends to try once the weather got warmer was slip-on sneakers and dresses. I love the mix of girly and casual to create a unique springtime look. This dress, with fun print and surprise cut outs, was perfectly paired with neon slip on sneakers and statement-making mirror aviators!

How cute is the cut-out detailing on this dress?

Don’t feel like you have to wear wedges with a dress. Slip-on sneakers are totally in style right now!

Delicate jewelry keeps the focus on the details of the dress.

What inspired Cathy’s look:
A great way to update your date night look is with a bold maxi dress. I love the detail embroidery on the front of this dress, and the back detailing is the perfect mix of sultry and sweet. And, of course, no date night look is complete without heels and a bold lip!

The cut-out back of the maxi is trend-right and flirty.
