#AEOSTYLE Challenge: Destroyed Denim Cutoff Shorts

Were you as surprised as we were with the beautiful sunny days we saw this week? One of our favorite menswear bloggers, Freddy from BluePerk, took advantage of the spring-like weather to style a key trend this season: Destroyed Denim Cutoff Shorts.

How did Freddy make such a casual, beachy piece feel cool and fashionable in the concrete jungle of New York City? He styled our Destroyed Denim Cutoff Short two different ways-one look with a spring jacket for those occasional seasonal sprinkles of rain and the other look was dressed up with a button down oxford shirt and high-tops that channeled old-school cool.

Indigo continues to be a big trend for spring. Vintage-inspired denim washes and deep shades of indigo are your best bet for nailing this trend. Add a graphic t-shirt to break up the solid color story.

Want to take your Destroyed Denim Cutoff Shorts from the beach to the streets? Throw our Oxford Button Down Shirt in your bag before you leave the house-you can throw it on over a tank or graphic t-shirt to take the shorts from day to night.
