You’re from the Lonestar State. Is everything really bigger in Texas?
Yes! Especially the pride. You can tell a Texas by their confidence.
When did you start illustrating?
I started drawing when I was in eighth grade in 2008. I was obsessed with a band called “Forever the Sickest Kids” and drew their portraits and since they were from my hometown, I gave the portraits to them.
What medium do you like best?
My favorite medium is pencil. I also recently have become fond of using pen. I’ve been experimenting a lot lately to see what I like and what I don’t like. I really want to learn how to paint!
Where do you find your inspiration?
I gather my inspiration from things that are beautiful: people, places, flowers, animals – basically anything in nature. I like to capture the quirks and unique characteristics in people and bring them to life on paper.
What sparked your interest in art?
My entire family is artsy. I have musically talented cousins, artistic aunts… it just runs in my blood, I suppose!
