Our stylist Lauren took a page from street style during our Holiday 2013 photo shoot in Alaska and made her own veiled beanies for the girls on set. Lauren loved the look so much she wanted to share how to get the look with all of our fans. Check out our step-by-step instructions below and let us know if you’re going to try the veiled beanie trend in the comments!
What you’ll need:
Gather your materials.
Cut the netted fabric into a piece that is almost half the height of the hat and 3 inches longer in width than the circumference of the hat.
Wrap netting around the hat. The netting will overlap a little.
Pin the bottom of the netting to the bottom of the beanie. Sew the netting to the bottom of the beanie, making sure you sew both pieces of netting where they overlap and the hat.
Take the top two layers of netting and fold down to the bottom of the hat as pictured and pin down again.
Fold the netting down again and repin.
Sew the folding of the netting to the hat.
Secure the top of netting to the front center of the hat.
Show off your finished product!
