Surfer Blood Takes Over Stage 19

Surfer Blood Takes Over Stage 19

On June 9, we invited some very special guests, Surfer Blood, to Stage 19 to record an acoustic version of their hit song, “Demon Dance” exclusively for AE. Learn more about some of the nicest dudes we have ever met and the personalities behind their indie rock sound.

11:00 am: After a long night traveling from one state to the next and only getting a measly two hours of sleep, the men of Surfer Blood met us at Stage 19 with excitement and energy.

11:15: It’s somewhat of a struggle, but the guys line up to get their hair retouched. (Thomas dedicates his bed head look to “lots of sleep”.)

11:30: The stage is set up and ready to go.

1:30: “See You Laters” were said and Surfer Blood was on their way to take a well deserved nap before riding the infamous incline in Pittsburgh and preparing for their concert at Stage AE that night. We were lucky enough to score free tickets to their concert and danced the night away. Surfer Blood rocked the stage and delivered a killer performance.
